As a celiac disease patient, Stephanie longs to find a way to feel safe when dining out and wishes to help others with similar problems. She is a biomedical engineer starting a Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University and has a strong background in microfluidics and teaching. She serves as the KAMP-G™ leader and public face.
Alexander Alvara
Being a triple major in aerospace, mechanical, and material science engineering, Alex is an analytical thinker with a strong passion for learning. While others may become frustrated by complex problems, he gains amusement from any challenge. He is developing The Glutector © smartphone app.
Robert Gutierrez
After witnessing the health of close ones deteriorate, Robert has dedicated his life to improving the well-being of others. He is a biomedical engineer starting a Ph.D. at Brown University and a lifetime member of UC Leads. With a background in molecular medicine he serves as the team’s test strip technician.
Scott Kelley
Having been a victim to a series of health calamities years ago, Scott has rebound with the determination to seek remedies to complex medical problems. He is a biomedical engineer working in spectroscopy. Scott is the KAMP-G™ business admin, 3D model printer, and The Glutector © black box developer.
Louis Mejia
Inspired by tomorrow’s medical advancements, Louis strives to create a higher standard of living for the world. He is a biomedical engineer with a strong background in nanomedicine and is starting a Ph.D. at the University of California. He serves as the chemical researcher and primary writer for the team.
